Volunteering

Voluntary compassionate action is a force that helps solve social and human problems in order to build a more just and caring society; it is the sharing and synergy of individual ideas and work experience within fields as diverse as medicine, economics, management, and computer science. It is therefore a much needed presence for people in difficulty, or within the departments that serve them.

Annually, the organization receives an important number of volunteers from diverse backgrounds, different nationalities and multiple motivations. These volunteers whose paths are all very diverse, may find their missions within the organization. Through consultation with our human resources, volunteers can find their proper place within the different programs and activities of arcenciel.

During their engagement, volunteers and the association are engaged in a sort of mutual accountability. This is why the association is committed to:

• Welcome and consider the volunteer as a collaborator on his own
• Provide clear information about the organization, its objectives and methodologies
• Assign activities which are convenient for each volunteer
• Provide adequate training and follow-up

Whereas volunteers are engaged to: 

• Accept the organization principles and comply with its objectives
• Conduct a trial period with the organization
• Feel responsible and supporting pertaining the promotion and development of the organization
• Regularly maintain and emulate the ideals learned in their training
• Work with a spirit of mutual understanding regarding all members of the organization.
