arcenciel is committed to Syrian refugees and Lebanese host communities.

Lebanon is hosting more than 1 million refugees who fled the war in their country. They sought refuge in Lebanon, where they live in precarious conditions. The UNHCR plans that they will account for 1.5 million at the end 2014, in a country of 4 million inhabitants.

For 3 years, our activities in favor of Syrian refugees have been multiplied by 20, needs also.  In 2013, we delivered nearly 92,000 services to more than 27,000 Syrian refugees.  In comparison, more than 13,000 services were delivered to 557 Syrian beneficiaries in 2012.

arcenciel is organizing a 40-day fundraising campaign : Lebanese, Syrians & you.  This initiative aims at improving the Syrian refugees’ living conditions and to support the Lebanese host communities.

In order to best serve the neediest, we need your help:

• $25 is the cost of a medical consultation
• $40 allows us to distribute clothes to a child for the winter
• $50 hygiene kit 1 person 
• $145 a month of daycare center

• $ 500 is the manufacturing price for a wheelchair *

* all orthopedic equipment is manufactured in Lebanon in arcenciel’s social and professional integration workshops.
